Land of Lamassu Humanitarian Organization for Health, Safety and Environment
In response, a group of professionals and specialists joined forces to help build safer, healthier communities and more supportive living environments, and the Land of Lamassu Humanitarian Organization was established.
We take an integrated approach to human well-being by fostering an informed community culture and providing comprehensive support in health, safety and environmental protection.
Our members and management include specialists in health, safety, environmental management, risk management and crisis management. They hold academic qualifications and international training certificates and include physicians, engineers, physicists, chemists, biologists and other technical professionals.
Official Registration
A civil society, non-governmental organization registered under Iraqi Law No. 12 of 2010, registration No. 1L1811006, dated 6 November 2018.
Accreditation
The organization holds documented international accreditation from the American Institute of Professional Studies (AIPS).

To apply our expertise in health, safety and the environment to prevent and reduce deaths, injuries, human suffering, environmental harm and economic losses through partnerships, guidance, improved procedures, materials and methods, information exchange and practical activities.
Our Objectives
- Organize public awareness campaigns and introductory health, safety and environmental training in homes, schools, colleges, hospitals, construction sites, factories, offices and communities.
- Conduct surveys and studies of physical, physiological, environmental, technological, social and cultural factors affecting human well-being.
- Organize conferences, seminars and workshops for scientific and technical dialogue and the development of improved health, safety and environmental strategies.
- Develop and deliver skills-building programmes for different segments of society to support safer, healthier and more fulfilling lives.
- Provide technical and advisory services across all health, safety and environmental fields.
- Conduct awareness campaigns and exhibitions to share information that improves community safety and well-being.
- Promote effective exchanges of information and expertise among LHO members.
- Cooperate with international organizations in areas of mutual interest.
- Partner with specialist and advisory entities to implement occupational health, safety and environmental projects.
- Prepare engineering designs for safety systems, early-warning and fire-protection systems, and evacuation plans.
Our Team
The organization draws on engineering, scientific and technical personnel specializing in health, safety and the environment, with professional qualifications and competency certificates issued by international bodies.
Founding Body
The organization's president is a safety expert specializing in risk and crisis management, holding specialist qualifications from the American Institute of Professional Studies, Manchester Training College and an American occupational safety organization, among others. The founding body also includes a safety engineer trained at the University of Niš with over 30 years of experience, an engineer specializing in fire alarm and suppression system design who holds an AIPS certificate, and a physicist specializing in fire systems, maintenance and operations.
Management Body
Engineers and specialist biologists holding professional experience and competency qualifications in health, safety and environmental fields.
Technical Body
Specialist engineers, physicians, chemists, physicists and field technicians, all trained and qualified to undertake health, safety and environmental work.
